Uploading & Mapping Global Assets

Guide for the Unified Asset Service module.

Gig Central's Global Asset Hub organizes speaker headshots, AV riders, and biography sheets, keeping them in one central repository for client downloads.

This guide walks you through uploading and sharing media assets.

1. Uploading Speaking Assets

  1. Navigate to Settings > Asset Library or My Profile > Assets.
  2. Click Upload File to add files (e.g., JPG headshots, PDF riders, slide decks).
  3. Assign categories (e.g., Headshot, AV Rider, Bio Sheet) to classify files.

2. Distributing Assets to Planners

Once uploaded:

3. How It Works (Behind the Scenes)

  • Cloud Storage & Mappers: File uploads save to cloud storage. The database registers details and links them to your speaker profile.
  • Security Access: Assets are served via read-only URLs, keeping files secure while enabling public client access.

4. Recommended Asset Checklist

  • High-Resolution Headshots: Upload both portrait and landscape options for promotional materials.
  • AV Stage Rider: Detail your microphone preferences, stage configurations, and lighting setups.
  • Bio Sheet: Provide a one-page PDF summarizing topics and bio highlights for event announcers.
