Community Gig Sharing & Referrals

Guide for the Community Opportunities Network module.

Gig Central's Community Opportunity Sharing & Referrals allows you to share event bookings you cannot accept with trusted peers in your network, tracking referrals automatically.

This guide covers sharing opportunities, tracking referral codes, and recording network analytics.

1. Sharing Event Opportunities

When an inbound booking inquiry conflicts with your calendar:

  1. Open the active gig card in the Kanban CRM.
  2. Click Share Opportunity.
  3. Enter your colleague's email address or generate a private referral link.
  4. The system sends the event details and package specs to your colleague.

2. Tracking Referrals & Commissions

When a colleague accepts a shared opportunity:

  • The system creates a referred opportunity log under their CRM dashboard.
  • If your colleague completes the contract signing and Stripe payment checkouts, the system credits the referral to your account.
  • Commission tracking is logged under your billing settings page.

3. How It Works (Behind the Scenes)

  • Referral Handshakes: Private sharing links contain tracking IDs that map booking details back to the originating speaker profile.
  • Revenue Audits: When deposit invoices are paid via Stripe Billing, the ledger calculates commissions based on network agreements.

4. Best Practices for Sharing

  • Build Trusted Circles: Connect with speakers who cover different topics or price ranges to exchange relevant inquiries.
  • Keep Notes Detailed: Add background details about the client's event goals to help your colleague prepare their pitch.
