Understanding Teammate Access & Permissions

Guide for the Subscription Access Guards module.

Gig Central uses Subscription Access Guards to manage teammate roles and account permissions, securing configuration panels and client data.

This guide explains how user roles and permissions are configured.


1. User Roles Overview

teampages support three user categories:

  • Owner: Full access to accounting records, Stripe checkouts, settings, and campaigns.
  • Teammate: Access to active CRM Pipelines and client logs to manage scheduling.
  • Helper / Assistant: Restricted access. Can edit calendar coordinates and add notes, but cannot access billing settings.

2. Managing Access

To add team members and assign roles:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Team Members.
  2. Click Add Member and enter email details.
  3. Assign the target role (Owner, Teammate, Assistant).
  4. Upgrades sync with details configured in Stripe Billing.

3. How It Works (Behind the Scenes)

  • Role Validation Checks: System routing scripts check user tokens. If a teammate requests a dashboard they do not have permissions for, the system locks access.
  • Database Protections: Client databases separate resources based on account tokens, preventing data leaks.

4. Tips for Team Organization

  • Restrict Billing Access: Restrict payment panels to Owner accounts to keep financial logs private.
  • Verify Invites: Review the active invites log to delete outstanding invitations when team structures change.
